Book #33: From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler

This book came to me by recommendation from Ben, and, since fiction recommendations from him are rare, I decided to read it. From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg is a sweet children’s story about adventure and self-discovery. Claudia decides to run away with her brother Jamie to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, during which they learn more about themselves, grow closer together, and make new friends. It is a short little book you could read in one sitting. It’s not a fantastic adventure, but one that could actually take place in the real world that I could certainly see appealing to young readers. If I lived anywhere near New York, it would be neat to read this and then go to the places mentioned.
